Home Interior… November 2025
Back in September my apartment was published in the New York Times “T” Magazine.
Needless to say, it is always excitng to have your home published. The photographs were taken in April by the very lovely, and fast moving, Josh Robenstone. Prior to this, my sister, Rachel, and I spent a considerable amount of time prepping. This involved us photographing every angle to determine its best ‘side’. And a general reshuffling of the furniture. Do the windows look better open or closed? So many questions. ‘Does it look natural…. ?’ and you might be giggling… but really that means ’does it look natural to me?’
I like a space to feel relaxing. Lived in.
I’ve been in this apartment for about 3 years and it’s the first time in about 25 years that I’ve had an apartment separate from my studio. In New York I always had a live work space. It feels grown up.
The furniture is a collection gathered over many years… living in Paris, London and New York. Recent purchases came from a few local Sydney favorites: The Vault, Orient House and Admiralty Antiques.
The interior took a while to evolve and really came together when we hand painted the walls in the checkerboard. Then it kind of all made sense.
Happy November,
