What’s in store… February 2024

Looking very serious in this self-portrait for Vogue Living.

January has passed.
I've had a birthday.
63 years old.
Eeek.
The years are flying by.

It's been a long while since I've made a New Year resolution. I've learned that it takes a lot more than just a thought to make a change.

Over the past 12 months, I have been reading Julia Cameron's 'The Artists Way' and attempting to put her wisdom into practice. This begins daily with writing 'morning pages', a journal of sorts, the result of which is hopefully emptying my head of a lot of unwanted baggage. Also included are affirmations designed to make the changes I'd like to initiate in life... either to the way I think or in what I am doing. I write them in triplicate. After a number of months of writing 'I am willing to exercise again'  I am now exercising again. Overall, I am getting the boring things that I used to put off done more quickly and viewing the world with a bit more detachment.

Had a lovely start to this new year with a profile featured in the January-February issue of Vogue Living, talking to Lindyl Zanbaka about starting up my studio in Sydney.

Now I'm racing towards what's next.
