MARTYN on VAN GOGH

"On a trip to London when I was 16, I went to an exhibition at the Tate called, if I remember correctly,”The Post Impressionists”… I've been to many museums since, but this visit has always stayed with me… At that age I had only ever seen these paintings on postcards and in text books. In reality they were entrancing… I had never imagined to 3 dimensionality of the paint.

The Van Goghs were the most alluring of all… I just had to touch one…"
