We were thrilled to participate in renowned trend forecaster, Li Edelkoort's New York Textile Month, the initiative - in it's second year, looks to highlight the contribution of textile designers and makers to the design industry with series of events and talks throughout the month of September.

We opened up our studio for a set of afternoon teas and shared some of Martyn's inspirations and processes with over 50 visitors - including other makers, students and designers.

"Lidewij Edelkoort is one of the world’s most famous trend forecasters. I first came across her studio working with stylist Carin Scheve, when we did a story for one of Li's publications “InView”, back in 1997. Later I met Li with my friend Ilse Crawford and photographed her house in Paris for Ilse's book, “Home Is Where The Heart Is”  - MT

Li's studio, "Trend Union", produces a unique catalogue to highlight the event — which we were honored to be included in — here we share some of the photos . Thanks to editor Philip Fimmano for featuring the studio, as well as writer and decorator, David Clark for the great words, and Willem Schenk for coordinating the events.
